Swiss German, the dark blue area shows Central Switzerland where German is the dominant language.

Swiss German uses standard (High) German (with slight variations) for written texts but alters radicaly with a different dialect when spoken, often dialects differ between villages.

Written Swiss German

The only differences in written German is that Swiss German does not use ﾃ but ss, all nouns begin with a capital letter, and that an umlaut ( ﾂｨ ) over a vowel is sometimes replaced by an 窶彳窶, eg: Graubﾃｼnden can be written as Graubuenden.

Will your Swiss German document be the same amount of text once translated?

No. In general the text translated from English to Swiss German will expand by about 30%. Conversely, your Swiss German to English translation text will contract by around 30%.
